Margareth Hagen is the winner of the rectorial election at UiB

For the next four years, Team Hagen will lead the University of Bergen, the largest knowledge institution in western Norway

- This is truly a great honor and declaration of trust for us, Margareth Hagen says. With prorector Pinar Heggernes at her side, she will be the top leader of University of Bergen.

Team Hagen received percent 62,8 percent of the votes

Thanks to students and staff - It has been a long and intense election campaign. I want to thank all the students and staff who have voted for us, and I also want to thank the opponents in Team Samdal for a good election campaign, says Hagen, who thus continued in the rector's job with a new vice-rector and new vice-rectors from 1 August.

Samdal congratulates Hagen

Oddrun Samdal, who lost the election, would like to congratulate the election winner.

- I congratulate Margareth and the rest of her team, at the same time as I want to thank everyone who voted for us. It has been a long election campaign, and now I wish the winning team good luck with the tasks ahead of them, says Samdal.

4564 people voted in the election. Of employees in teaching and research positions, the turnout was 59.7%. It was 54.2% among the technical-administrative staff and 11.1% among the students.
