ICT and Multicultural Practice offers readers an insight into issues surrounding the design and implementation of international net-based collaborative programs.

Main content

Utgitt av Intermedia, Universitetet i Bergen, Uni Digital.

The primary case considered is a research and teaching program run
jointly by the Department of Information Science and Media Studies at
the University of Bergen, Norway and the international film school
Escuela Internacional de Cine y Television in Cuba.

Through student comments on the program and through the analysis of
transcripts, the report draws out implications for design and
implementation, and adds to the analysis of issues such as presentations
of identity, the place of culture and gender, the meanings of
community, and expected forms of participation.

Kate Goodnow  is Professor at rhe Department of Information Scienes and Media Studies at the University of Bergen, Norway.
