Background

Kristoffer Haugarvoll is a physician and postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Neurology, Haukeland University Hospital and Institute of Clinical Medicine, University of Bergen, Norway.  He is a member of the Mitochondrial Medicine & Neurogenetics Group and has a special interest in movement disorders, neurogenetics and in particular essential tremor, Parkinson disease and dystonia.

Research

Translational, clinical and molecular research in the field of movement disorders. The aim of his current project is to identify genetic causes of movement disorders in order to characterize the molecular pathogenesis underlying these disorders. Insights from these studies may help the development of future therapies and improve patient care.
