This was the third time the NODA conference’s was held; the first took place in Stockholm in November 2013, the second in Ålesund in Norway in 2015. This year the conference was joined with the Tutki!2016 conference, which is arranged by The Association for Investigative Journalism in Finland.

The aim of the conference is to bring news and research about data journalism and digital storytelling to journalists, designers, editors and developers in newsrooms in the Nordic countries, as well as to media researchers and students.
