About the topic
In the EU-funded Skills4EOSC-project, training resources have been created to strengthen the knowledge and understanding of open science and scientific data management. Here, they identify open science policies and requirements as important accelerators of open science.
Research ethics and open science practices are closely related, especially in regards to involvement of stakeholders and society. The new requirement from the Research Council in requiring a research ethics self-evaluation in all research proposals is an example of policy as a driver for more societal communication and responsiveness.
But how should researchers approach this requirement? What is expected, and why?
In this seminar, we invite Ina Nepstad (senior adviser, Sikt) and Gunhild Rønningen (senior adviser, RCN) to present their perspectives and advice for the researchers who wish to implement more responsible and ethical open science practices in their research.
