Title: Impact of gender on cardiovascular risk factors and blood pressure related heart disease
Lecturer: Cardiologist PhD Ester Kringeland
Ester Kringeland received her cand. med. degree from University of Bergen in 2008 and defended her PhD in 2022 on ‘Sex differences in blood pressure in midlife: associations with risk factors and acute coronary syndromes in the Hordaland Health Studies’.
Ester Kringeland has published 9 scientific papers on hypertension and hypertensive heart disease. Her research has gained much media attention and given prizes. She was in 2022 invited as lecturer to the ESC Preventive Cardiology congress. She is affiliated with our Center as main supervisor for a master thesis and co-supervisor for a PhD candidate. She delivered an excellent trial lecture on the Impact of gender on cardiovascular risk factors and blood pressure related heart disease in December 2022. We are fortunate to have this lecture presented also at the upcoming seminar February 20.
