Abstract:
In a first, introductory part, this presentation will give a brief overview of Kant's philosophy of law. The second part will discuss Kant's conception of Right ("Recht") with special attention to the question of why, according to Kant, legal coercion is legitimate.

Prof. Dr.Marcus Willaschek er Professor für Philosophie der Neuzeit og medlem av Exzellenzcluster „Die Herausbildung Normativer Ordnungen“ ved Goethe-Universität Frankfurt. Han er blant annet med-utgiver av Kant-Lexikon (De Gruyter 2015, ISBN 978-3-11-044399-8).
