Fagertun is a kindergarten (daycare) for children aged 1 to 5, with priority given to families where parents are employed at the University of Bergen.
They are proud to be a diverse community, with families from many different countries and more than 14 languages represented. Both staff and children are familiar with a wide range of languages and cultural backgrounds.
When you join Fagertun, you will meet dedicated staff who will introduce you to Norwegian daycare culture and guide you through the childcare system in Norway. In this daycare senter you will find children of employees at various faculties and departments at UiB. Some have a permanent position, others are temporarily employed like PhD researchers, or are guest researchers staying for a longer or a shorter period in Bergen.
Regardless of your background or how long you plan to stay, Fagertun is committed to creating a strong sense of community. You will find that the staff helps families connect with others in similar situations and support building networks with other parents.
