The Education Committee

The University’s Education Committee is appointed by the University Board to develop the University in Bergen as an educational institution.

The Central Appeals Committee

The Central Appeals Committee is the University of Bergen's final appeals body in student related matters.

The Research Ethics Committee

The committee is responsible for considering breaches of good scientific practice.

The Suitability Committee

The committee follows up the Regulations relating to Sustainability in Higher Education.

The AKAN Committee

The AKAN Committee coordinates the work to prevent addiction and substance abuse at the university.

The Working Environment Committee

The Working Environment Committee consists of representatives of the employer, the employees and the occupational health service and shall work to ensure that the working environment at the university is fully satisfactory.

The Equality Committee

The committee's job is to advise the University Board on equality issues, present proposals concerning measures, and assist with drawing up plans.

The Central Election Committee

Elections at the University are held every four years. This does not apply to temporary academic staff and students; these two groups elect their representatives every year.

The Learning Environment Committee

The University of Bergen’s Learning Environment Committee (LMU) is appointed pursuant to the Act relating to Universities and University Colleges section 4-3 no 3.
