Chronopolitics and Knowledge Production in Migration Studies
Marry-Anne Karlsen, IMER Bergen Leader, and Christine Jacobson, IMER affiliated researcher, will be giving an online seminar on Thursday at CRG Forum.
Presentations by Christine Jacobsen (Professor of Social Anthropology, and Director of the Centre for Women’s and Gender Research, University of Bergen (Norway)), and Marry-Anne Karlsen (Researcher, Centre for Women’s and Gender Research, University of Bergen (Norway) with commentary by Samera Esmeir (Associate Professor of Rhetoric, UC Berkeley). Their conversation will examine the concept of “waiting,” and relationships of time and space, mobility and immobility, as a matter of power, lived experience, and affect.
