Presentations by Christine Jacobsen (Professor of Social Anthropology, and Director of the Centre for Women’s and Gender Research, University of Bergen (Norway)), and Marry-Anne Karlsen (Researcher, Centre for Women’s and Gender Research, University of Bergen (Norway) with commentary by Samera Esmeir (Associate Professor of Rhetoric, UC Berkeley). Their conversation will examine the concept of “waiting,” and relationships of time and space, mobility and immobility, as a matter of power, lived experience, and affect.
