Lønningen lystgård (Lønningen mansion) is located by Arboretet and the botanical garden, and can be rented by employees at UiB for various events.

Guidelines for Lønningen lystgård
Who can book Lønningen lystgård and for what types of events?
Lønningen lystgård can be rented by employees for events and parties organised by UiB. This applies for the following types of events:
- Representation for the rector and university director
- Doctoral dinners
- Dinners for the University board/faculty boards etc.
- Representation for faculties/institutes
- Dinner/lunch/reception in relation to conferences
- Meetings and gatherings
- Events related to botany
- Events organized by the museum/botanical garden that are open to the public
- Students academic events organized by UiB studen organizations
- Events for UiB collaborators
- Additionally, Avinor has right of usage a few times a year
It is possible to use the venue for social departemental/institutional events, like Summer parties, in which case we strongly encourage the events to include a tour of the garden or other botanical related activities.
It is not permitted to rent Lønningen lystgård for private events.
Maximum number of guests: 26 people at 2 tables.
Times
Sunday to Thursday: events must be concluded no later than midnight.
Friday and Saturday: events must be concluded no later than 2AM.
Prices
Sunday to Thursday: kr. 5.900,- (including 1 host for 5 hours and cleaning of the premises)
Friday to Sunday: kr. 6.900,- (including 1 host for 7 hours and cleaning of the premises)
It is possible to book a host/hosts for more than 5 or 7 hours - the cost will be added on to the standard price.
It is not possible to book Lønningen lystgård without a host present.
The standard price includes a host that can be of assistance with, for instance, prepare the aperitif, coffee/tea, set up a buffet, clean the kitchen, and do the dishes. Additionally, the host will ensure that the house rules are being followed, and that the alarm and locking up is conducted in accordance to UiB guidelines.
If you need help organizing the tables, setting the table, serving/cleaning the tables, you can, by further agreement, hire your own waiters.
UiB reserves the right to adjust prices annually.
