General information on deadlines relating to exams
| Deadline for recruiting all graders for all courses and informing the study advisor | October 15th/March 15th. |
| Deadline for completing a list for registering mandatory activities | 2 weeks before the exam starts. The study advisor processes this list in FS 2 weeks before the exam. |
| Deadline to write the exam questions and grading guidelines and share them with the study advisor | 1 week before the exam starts. For school exams, SA requires exams to be ready at least 2 full workdays in advance. If the students do not require exam questions, for example if the students are handing in term papers, the study advisor will create the exam from a template. |
| Grade-posting deadline | The study advisor’s deadline for the grading is 3 weeks after the exam ends (deadline required by law) |
| Protocol deadline | The graders’ deadline for grading the exam, a few days before the 3-week deadline. An exact deadline will be given for each exam by the study advisor. |
| Deadline for grade justifications | The students have 1 week to request a justification, and the graders then have 2 weeks to send the justification to the students in Inspera (deadline required by law). Inspera notifies you when a student has requested a justification. |
| Deadline for grade complaints | The students have 3 weeks to request a re-grading of their exam (3 weeks after they receive their grade or 3 weeks after receiving their justification), and the complaint must be processed within 8 weeks. |
| Deadlines regarding MA theses | There are two deadlines for students to hand in their theses per semester: February 1st, May 15th, September 1st, November 20th. The grading deadline for master theses is 2 months after the thesis was handed in. The adjusting oral exam should be held within a month after the thesis is handed in but can if needed be held in January or July, though it should be avoided. |
