On 24th March, 2021, Eddy Wifa, Lecturer at the School of Law of the University of Aberdeen and member of the Aberdeen University Energy Law Centre, participated as Guest International Lecturer in our course Law of the Sea and its Uses. Eddy's presentation dealt with the regulation of health and safety in offshore energy operations, with a particular focus on the offshore wind industry.

This presentation draws upon Eddy's PhD work and some more recent articles in the topic in which he discusses the need for a comprehensive, well designed and encompassing offshore wind HSE framework that builds upon and moves beyond the existing regimes for offshore oil and gas.

Eddy is involved in several our of Research Group's project. Among these, he is part of the DeWindSea research project and of the Offshore Energy Initiative, in which he is one of the leaders.

Tusen takk, Eddy!
