Stone Day at Bergen Museum

In collaboration with Bergen og Omegn Geologiforening, the local amateur geologists’ association, Bergen Museum once again invites you to the Stone Day on Sunday 7 November. This time, the event will take place at The Cultural History Collections, and in ”The House in the Garden”.
Programme
Some titbits from the programme:
• Competitions for children with splendid stone prizes
• Themed exhibitions presenting minerals and rock types
• Stone workshop where children get a chance to express themselves
• Stone is fun – watch funny demonstrations!
• A miniature world: Have a peek into the microscope!
• Identification of stones: Bring in your own stone specimens!
There will be raffles and tombola, and both food and drink in Kafé Quartzen.
Bergen og Omegn Geologiforening would like to recruit even more new members. Please contact the amateur geologists at the information stand near the entrance.
Both Bergen Museum and Bergen og Omegn Geologiforening ( BOG) are once again looking forward to welcoming a rush of young and old stone enthusiasts.
