Institutionalising Benefit Package Design/Revision through Fair Priority Setting Process

The Africa CDC Health Economics Program, in collaboration with 14 countries from the East Africa region, initiated a two-day conference in Nairobi, Kenya, on June 12-13, 2023 on the topic of ”Institutionalising Benefit Package Design/Revision through Fair Priority Setting Process”.

The purpose of the meeting was to promote an organised approach to health priority setting in the design of health benefit packages. Furthermore, the gathering aimed to facilitate a conversation for efficient and equitable allocation of resources, leading to a more inclusive universal health coverage through evidence-based priority setting. The meeting was a joint effort between the Africa CDC Health Economics Program, BCEPS, WHO, and the Center for Global Development, who worked together to plan and deliver the event.
