What is it like to study CIH’s Master programme in Global Health?
Study with us, and you will stand to gain a unique research experience in our Master in Global Health. The programme includes one year of courses and a whole year dedicated to work with your Master project. We will introduce you to current issues in global health and equip you with the methodological skills necessary to carry out research projects on these topics. The programme has a particular focus on health problems in low and middle-income countries (LMICs). The goal is to strengthen capacity through research and postgraduate training in our partner academic institutions. Our Master in Global Health promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and includes disciplines both within and beyond the health sciences.
This Master programme places a particular emphasis on research methodology, and students will be able to tailor the methodological training based on the various elective courses in both qualitative and quantitative research methods. During the programme’s second year, students are able to plan and carry out data collection under the supervision of leading academics in their field. The Centre for International Health provides their Master students with unique opportunities abroad, either carrying out fieldwork or taking courses during stays in partner institutions in both Europe and LMICs.
