Abstract

The talk focuses on the collaboration between Wittgenstein and Waismann on the collection of texts later formed into the book “Logik, Sprache, Philosophie” which took place under Schlick’s patronage in the late 1920s and in the early 1930s. Its aim is to reconsider Waismann’s thankless role of an interpreter of Wittgenstein’s ideas and particularly Waismann’s purported plagiarism of Wittgenstein. The historiographical exposition is based on the research in the archival documents, especially correspondence, that are kept in the Nachlass of the two and members of the Vienna Circle.
