Unfortunately the event has been cancelled, as Michael Lynk is unable to attend.

What does the war and the new atrocities mean for the future of Israel and Palestine?

The situation in Palestine and Israel remains an unresolved tragedy. Which rules of international law are relevant in the conflict and how are they upheld? What kind of legal framework, if any, must be in place before a political solution can be negotiated?

Michael Lynk is a former UN Special Rapporteur on Palestine and Associate Professor of Law at the University of Western Ontario. In this meeting Lynk will speak about the future of Israel and Palestine in a conversation with Terje Einarsen, Professor of International Law at UiB. They will also discuss to what extent international crimes have been committed, and if they could be prosecuted before the International Criminal Court.

There will be time for Q & A.

Light lunch will be served.
