Researchers will visit the Centre for Competition Policy of the University of East Anglia

Ingrid Halvorsen Barlund and Ignacio Herrera Anchustegui, two PhD candidates belonging to our Research Group and members of BECCLE, will be visiting during late October and early November 2015 the Centre for Competition Policy of the University of East Anglia (CCP). The CCP is one of the leading research centers in Europe in the field of competition law & economics and a member of the CLEEN network.

Ingrid and Ignacio will spend two weeks among the researchers of the CCP to continue their research projects on leniency and buyer power in EU competition law, respectively. This time at the CCP will also allow them to present their research in a CCP Seminar series to share the results of their research, create academic connections and receive feedback on how to improve their work.

Updated the 10th of November 2015:

The research visit was very profitable, and both Ingrid and Ignacio hope to return to the CCP next year. Ingrid presented a chapter on the relationship between the Commission's leniency programme and the Directive on damages regarding breach of the competition rules (Directive 2014/104/EU) at the CCP seminar Friday the 30th of October. Ignacio presented both at the Faculty of Law Wednesday the 28th of October talking about demand aggregation in public procurement and at the CCP seminar Friday the 30th of October where he spoke about countervailing buyer power in EU Competition Law. For abstracts for the CCP seminar please follow link.
