Computational Instruments: We use national infrastructure for high-performance computing (NOTUR), San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC), and local workstations equipped with graphical processing units (GPUs).

We are users of the common technology platforms in the department, including proteomics (PROBE), imaging (MIC), flow cytometry, qPCR, and liquid handling equipment. In addition we have access to the NMR lab at the Department of Chemistry.

In the Biorecognition lab we have state-of-the-art equipment:

  • MicroCal iTC200 (GE Healthcare), ITC

  • VP-DSC MicroCalorimeter (MicroCal), DSC

  • J-810 Spectropolarimeter (Jasco), CD

  • Biacore®3000 (GE Healthcare), SPR

  • Biacore®T200 (GE Healthcare), SPR

  • Zetasizer Nano ZS (Malvern Instruments), DLS

  • MFP-3D-BIOTM (Asylum research), AFM

  • Direct DetectTM Spectrometer (Millipore)

  • ÄKTAprime plus (GE Healthcare)

  • Cary Eclipse Fluorescence Spectrophotometer (Varian)

  • MJB4 Mask Aligner (Süss MicroTec)

  • Gradient HPLC system 1200 Series (Agilent)

  • NanoDrop™ One/OneC Microvolume UV-Vis Spectrophotometer (Thermo Fisher)

  • Analytical balance (Mettler Toledo)
