Establishment, change or discontinuation of study programmes or courses. Processes in the Common Student System (FS)

Main content

At the University of Bergen, cases concerning the establishment and discontinuation of programmes of study shall be handled as follows:

a) Cases involving study programmes comprising 60 credits or more are decided by the University Board
b) Cases involving study programmes comprising less than 60 credits are decided by the individual faculty
c) Cases involving programme options are decided by the individual faculty
d) Cases involving course subjects are decided by the individual faculty
e) Decisions concerning the establishment, discontinuation and change of names for study programmes must be submitted to the University Director
