Secure storage of research data throughout the project:

SAFE (Secure Access to Research Data and E-infrastructure) is a solution developed by the IT department at UiB for the secure processing of sensitive personal data in research: https://www.uib.no/en/safe.

More information about UiB guidelines for classifying and securing data can be found in UiB's storage guide: https://www.uib.no/en/storage-guide

Active storage of large amounts of data (TB range) is provided by Sigma2, which has two application rounds per year. The NIRD service platform allows for on-site analysis.

Archiving/Long-term preservation of research data:

As a general rule, you should choose a subject-specific repository to make your research data visible and accessible. re3data.org is the largest and most comprehensive registry of accessible data repositories.

Institutional archives are a good alternative to subject-specific archives. Researchers at UiB can archive research data in  DataverseNO  and receive guidance during the archiving process. If you have large amounts of data, the NIRD Research Data Archive (Sigma2) may be an alternative.

Artistic development work

The Research Catalogue (RC)  is a non-commercial collaborative and publishing platform for artistic research, provided by the Society for Artistic Research. RC is free to use for artists and researchers and strives to be an open space for experimentation and exchange.
