The Estate Management Unit is responsible for providing services on behalf of the Department of Estate and Facilities Management and for premises logistics.

The unit's responsibilities include:

  • following up internal and external lessees
  • following up of premises-related issues in relation to individual faculties and administrative units
  • communicating with users about construction and refurbishment projects
  • acting as a contact point for office and departmental moves, including providing information about and coordinating moving-related activities
  • participating in the development of a general estate/facilities strategy for UiB
  • following up of rules concerning rentals of UiB premises by internal parties
  • preparing papers for UiB's board and management on issues relating to estate/facilities management
  • coordinating and following up activities relating to universal design
  • other tasks relating to premises management
