Responsibilities

At University of Bergen, the main academic and administrative responsibility for the PhD education is delegated to the faculties.

The first line of contact, both for admitted candidates and potensial applyers, are the local PhD coordinators situated at each department.

All departments have an academic coordinator for their research activity, including the PhD education, and an administrative contact person for all PhD candidates and employees at the department.

The faculty also has it's own PhD coordinator, primarily working towards the departments and cooperating with their PhD coordinators to coordinate and improve the PhD education at Faculty of Humaities.
