Amal Haddad Haddad is currently on a research stay in Bergen, financed by grants provided by ARQUS and LITHME (Language in the Human Machine Era). On Friday, September 1sth, she gave a presentation on "Climate change discourse and corpus analysis" infront of the LINGCLIM research group. She also presented "Ecolexicon", developed by her research group in Granada: http://ecolexicon.ugr.es/en/index.htm. In her own PhD project, Haddad Haddad compares the use of climate metaphors in Spanish and Arabic texts. As there are many parallels between her research and the topics covered by the LINGCLIM research group, both parties agreed to stay in contact for future collaboration.
