The Department of Informatics offers a scientific writing course for PhD candidates enrolled in the department's PhD program.
Every year the Research School in Information and Communication Technology invites to a seminar where the PhD candidates have the possibility to exchange research ideas and experiences, to build and broaden their research networks, and to improve their presentation skills.
Receiving a research grant is an important career-boost. A grant provides funding to conduct break-through research, thereby laying the foundation for scientific, economic, political, social, cultural and/or technological innovation. Furthermore, a successful grant shows that the applicant is capable of creative and innovative thinking and is willing to lead novel research endeavors.
