ICT PhD Forum
Welcome to the first ICT PhD Forum meeting of 2021!
This forum will be a revisit of the topic discussed in an earlier department-wide seminar in January: "Psychosocial work environment at the home office", given by Mari Follo. Many of us were unable to make Mari’s talk, and we felt that Mari’s talk is especially valuable for all of us to hear, as the ongoing corona restrictions have many of us working from home office even longer than expected.
For those of us who were able to attend Mari’s talk for the department earlier this year, we hope that you might still join us and perhaps share your own thoughts and strategies for managing home office in a discussion following Mari’s talk.
More information about the forum, including the Zoom link and a registration link for the first meeting has been sent to all PhD candidates in a separate email.
In general, the ICT PhD forum has been created as a place where PhD candidates enrolled in the Department of Informatics' PhD program can get together and learn from one another. The forum meetings are organized by the PhD candidates themselves, and in 2021 we are planning for monthly meet-ups on Wednesdays at 10:15. A meeting will usually consist of 1-2 short talks/seminars given by invited speakers, followed by an informal networking and discussion session.
In 2021, the forum organizers are Laura Garrison, Erlend Raa Vågset and Sophie Fischer.
