The administration at the Department of Informatics, together with the faculty and UiB’s BOA team, can help you to prepare funding applications, to set up and negotiate contracts, and to manage your research project. Relevant funding sources

This page presents an overview of UiB-internal as well as external funding sources relevant for the Department of Informatics. It is important that you keep the department updated about your planned funding applications.

Support for grant applications

The Research Section at the Department of Informatics supports the department’s researchers during the pre-award phase. As the department is responsible for all funded projects, it is important that the department is informed about and approves all grant applications and budgets.

Research contracts and collaboration agreements

All research collaboration in which UiB is involved shall be based on contracts.

Kick-off meetings and operational phase

Once the funding has been awarded, the project starts and there are several things that you as a project manager (responsible scientist) need to be aware of.
