Last Friday students in the bachelor course on “European Union institutions, politics, and policies” EUR105 received a visitor from the European Commission. Dr Krzysztof Nowaczek has many years of experience in working for EU institutions. Currently he is deputy head of unit at the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs. He also holds a PhD in political science. On Friday, Dr Nowaczek told students about his experience in facilitating the Conference on the Future of Europe. This was an innovative, participatory process in which citizens’ ideas and preferences for the future of the EU were gathered and deliberated.
In addition to the lecture, Dr Nowaczek met with individual researchers and master students, discussing EU politics and migration policy.
