Terms and conditions for publishing open access under UiB's publishing agreements
Approval of open access publishing under UiB’s publishing agreements is based on the following terms and conditions:

- You are the corresponding author of the article (the author that has the main responsibility for submitting the manuscript and correspondence with the journal) and affiliated with the University of Bergen. The affiliation to UiB must be stated in the article as your institutional address. Corresponding authors affiliated with Helse Bergen / Haukeland University Hospital are eligible to publish under some of the agreements.
- Students who wish to publish under the agreements must be able to provide a confirmation from their supervisor or project leader that the publication is connected to their studies at UiB.
- Articles must be published in a category that is included in the agreements.
- The publishing agreements will cover the cost of publishing open access. Additional publishing costs, e.g. page charges and colour charges, are not covered by the agreements.
- The publishing agreements only covers articles that are accepted for publication during the agreement period.
- The University Library may limit the number of articles that an author can publish under the agreements for budgetary reasons.
- The terms can be changed without prior notice, but without any retroactive effect for articles that have already been submitted.
