About the topic

Assessment of researchers is a central part of hiring and promotions, as well as when applying for research grants. Initiatives like the The San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA) and Agreement on Reforming Assessment (ARRA) by CoARA aim to maximise impact and quality of research. These reforms entail assessments to be primarily based on qualitative judgement, responsible use of quantitative metrics and acknowledging the diversity of outputs, practices and activities in research.

For this month's Open Science Lunch we have invited senior advisor Anne Karine Nymoen from UHR to give a status on NOR-CAM (Norwegian Career Assessment Matrix) and CoARA nationally, as well as senior advisor Kristin Wergeland Brekke from NTNU to share experiences from implementing the CoARA commitments at NTNU.

Grab your matpakke and join us for the presentations from our special guests and for an open Q&A session afterwards!
