Peder Sather Center for Advanced Studies at the University of Berkeley

• Peder Sather Grant Researchers must have a Principal Investigator (PI) from UC Berkeley and from UiB. The Center offers grants of between $10K and $25K that can support activities such as workshops, mini-conferences, virtual intellectual exchanges, the undertaking of exploratory and pilot studies, the collection and analysis of data, and other core research activities.

MIT-University of Bergen Seed Fund

• MIT-UiB Seed Fund support collaborative projects between faculty members at MIT and at the faculties of Humanities and Medicine at UiB. The fund offers grants up to $ 30.000 to be used for travel and meeting expenses.

The University of the Arctic - UArctic 

• North2North is the mobility program in the UArctic network. UiB accepts one institutional application yearly for n2n funding. Researchers, administrative staff and students can apply for NOK 10.00-27.000 depending on the destination and duration of the visit to the n2n partner.

Peder Sather Center for Advanced Studies at the University of Berkeley

• Researchers and PhD fellows can apply for funding up to $25.000,- to support graduate student exchanges and postdoctoral fellow exchanges.

The Norwegian University Centre in Paris 

• Grants are open to all fields within the social sciences, humanities, law, theology and education. One can apply for up to NOK 20.000 per month (1-2 months) to cover rent and other livingcosts. Economy air travel can also be covered up to NOK 5.000.
