Bruce M. Wilson will give a presentation titled "Academic Freedom Under Attack:  A View from the Florida Trenches".

Bruce Wilson is Professor of Political Science and interim Director of the School of Politics, Security, and International Affairs (SPSIA) at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. For more than a decade, he was an Associated Research Professor at the Chr. Michelsen Institute, and is currently a Global Fellow at the LawTransform Center in Bergen, Norway.

His research interests focus on comparative judicial politics in Latin America with a focus on Economic, Social, and Cultural rights, and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.

His publications include numerous peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and three academic books. His most recent book, co-edited with Evelyn Villarreal, “El agua como derecho humano: Reconocimientos y disputas en Costa Rica (Water as a Human Right: Achievements and Disputes in Costa Rica), was published in 2022.
