Cost and accomodation
As is customary, the host country covers the cost of accommodation, food, and drinks for the duration of the conference. Yet, the participants will have to bear their travel costs. We have pre-booked rooms at the Grand Hotel Terminus in Bergen where the meeting will be held.

Travelling to Bergen
Most of you will travel directly to Bergen Airport Flesland by plane. When travelling from the airport to the city centre, you have three options:

  1. The Airport Express Bus (FLYBUSSEN) stops at the left hand side just outside the main terminal building. The bus  takes 20-25 minutes to the Bergen Bus Station where you should embark. The bus departs every 10 minutes during the busiest parts of the day. From the bus stop there is only a short walk to the hotel.
  2. The Light rail stop (BYBANEN) is located outside the terminal, but on a lower level. You will find the stairs when you leave the terminal. The travel takes about 40 minutes and you should embark at the stop "Nonneseter" (the penultimate stop). From the tram stop there is only a short walk to the hotel.
  3. Taxis stops just outside the terminal building

Travelling to Bergen - the scenic route
For those of you who wish to see a little more of Norway during your visit we have arranged for a train trip from Oslo to Bergen, with a detour to Flåm to experience the “Norway in a nutshell” tour. You will take the train from Oslo on May 1 at 08.25, disembarking in Myrdal to take the Flåm Railway. The trip continues from Flåm with a fjord cruise to Gudvangen. From there you will take a bus to Voss and the train to Bergen arriving at 21.00 the same evening.

Those of you wishing to participate must arrive in Oslo on April 30 in the evening at the latest. Accommodation in Oslo must be arranged by the participants. The tour is not included in the conference and the participants must bear their own costs. The cost of the trip is NOK 2700, apx. €285 in addition to accommodation costs.

In order to register for the tour, please click the relevant box in the registration form. Participants of the tour can also book an extra night at Grand Hotel Terminus where the meeting will be held.  We will reserve the room, but the cost has to be covered by the participant. Further information will be given individually to the participants.
