Introduction courses to workshops, each semester

Access to Workshop and Equipment
KMDINTRO is access courses for the workshops (purely health and safety courses). Approved courses are required to gain access to the various workshops. Read the workshop descriptions to familiarize yourself with what the courses require and what you need to bring to the course. You find the descriptions via the links for each course in the list further down this page

This is an offer in addition to your regular teaching. There are no teaching resources at the Department of Design in the workshops where KMDINTRO courses are not offered.

Bachelor’s students in design can register for two KMDINTRO courses at the start of each semester, except for first semester. For the first semester required KMDINTRO are a part of the teaching, in which case you do not need to take a separate access course in addition. Read more about this in the subject descriptions (links are in the subject codes listed above) for the subject you are joining (ensure you have information from the correct semester. This can be changed on the right side of the course description).

NOTE! Some KMDINTRO courses require previously acquired technical experience/competence to participate. The list below indicates which these are, and information about the necessary experience and the application form can be found in the course description linked through the course code in the list. The engineer for the relevant workshop must approve your application regarding prior experience for you to participate in these KMDINTRO courses. You will always find a link to the application form in the relevant subject in your education plan in Studentweb or in the course description for the KMDINTRO course.

Feel free to contact the engineer for the relevant workshop regarding previous experience/education/documentation or if you have specific needs for access to a workshop.
