Abstract: "In his trial lecture, Wrya will explain polar code and its applications in 5G communications. Polar codes are the first provably capacity achieving codes for any symmetric binary-input discrete memoryless channel (B-DMC). These codes have regular structure and have explicit construction. They have very low encoding and decoding complexities. The channel coding techniques for 5G NR have changed from Turbo codes in 4G to polar codes for the control channels."
The trial lecture will be held on 19.april at 13:00 to 14:00 via zoom
