Main content

Energy is an indispensable part of our domestic and working lives. Therefore, we need to develop smart and sustainable energy systems that are environmentally responsible and people-friendly. This symposium explores how energy professionals and anthropologists benefit from each other’s knowledge and approaches. What is the role of culture in energy technology? How can technology-based thinking be humanised? And how can we cooperate to design and deploy innovations that will alter the world for the better?

The full programme for the symposium is avaliable at their offical website.

During the second day of the symposium the Energethics project will arrange the workshop "Accounting for Energy", which aims to explore and discuss energy companies' reporting regimes with an anthropological appraoch and why this is important.
