Oria Is Getting an Upgrade
After almost ten years in operation, the library's search portal Oria is receiving a long-awaited upgrade. Here is what you need to know.
Main content
On January 12, we will update the system behind Oria to a new version. This upgrade primarily focuses on infrastructure improvements designed to enhance system functionality, responsiveness and overall performance, and is essential for the future development of Oria. While the main changes take place "under the hood", some user settings and saved elements will also be affected.
A quick overview of the most important changes:
- Saved favorites - Your favorites will be transferred to the new version. This happens automatically and requires no intervention from you.
- Saved links to records and searches - Oria’s base URL will change (the part before the search query). As a result, links pointing to bibliographic records, searches or search results will no longer work after the upgrade. We recommend that you recreate/update the links after the transition.
- Saved searches and search history - Unfortunately, these will not be transferred. If you want to preserve your searches, we recommend that you copy them to a document before the upgrade, so that you can easily recreate them later.
- Personal profile settings - Settings related to personalization (e.g. search history and search preferences) will be reset and will need to be set up again. We therefore recommend that you log in and restore your preferred settings after the upgrade.
During and shortly after the transition period, you may experience minor disruptions or temporary issues. We are working to make the process as seamless as possible, and we appreciate your patience if something does not function as expected.
