All students who are going under the auspices of UiB on fields, cruises and travel must follow the following rules:
- All participants must keep up to date on UiB's routines and guidelines
- Students who are to participate in cruises, fieldwork, field courses or group travels must participate in and familiarize themselves with risk assessment and ensure that relatives' information is in place before the trip (follow the link)
- Students who travel alone (in the field or on another trip in connection with the study) are responsible for the trip and must register this trip / field work / cruise via this form field, cruise and group trips well in advance of departure!
- The checklist for fieldwork must be filled in by you as the subject manager and uploaded. In addition, a risk assessment of the fieldwork must be prepared and uploaded. Here is a guide: Safety rules for field work under the guidelines of GEO.
Compensation for expenses:
- If you have been in fieldwork in connection with your master's study and have previously clarified with the supervisor that related expenses will be covered by allocated funds or project funds, this can be collected via the Payme solution for UiB. Contact the administration for information.
Insurance for students traveling abroad:
- Students who are traveling or fielding abroad must have private travel insurance that covers any injury, loss and return home due to illness during their stay abroad (follow this link for more information about insurance for students - only in Norwegian)
