Paleo- mineral magnetism is an integral part of many geosciences. In order to comply with the multi-disciplinary nature of research-projects on all educational levels at the Department, most instruments are located in the ‘Measurement Saloon’. Here students and researchers have easy access and may get the necessary instructions to operate instruments.

The laboratory was established in 1960’s and has been continuously expanding its number and types of instruments.

The laboratory is located in a nearby building (Allegt. 70).
