Yesterday, our master’s program Politics and Governance of Global Challenges was awarded the 2025 Study Quality Award!

This award is presented annually to an academic environment that actively works to enhance the quality of its study programmes. Particular emphasis is placed on collaboration between students and academic staff in both the planning and implementation of the education.

And this is precisely what defines our master’s program.

It all began with a strong desire to involve students in shaping the program from the ground up. Workshops were held to give students a real opportunity to influence both the content and structure of the new master’s degree. Their input was brought forward and developed further in close collaboration with the academic staff at the department.

Since then, this partnership has continued to flourish and remains a central part of the program. Each year, an evaluation group is established, made up of current students, who provide valuable feedback and insights that contribute directly to the further development of the program.

This ongoing work helps ensure high quality for all students and illustrates just how important the student voice and their influence are in building forward-looking education.

We are incredibly proud to receive this award, wich is a result of teamwork, engagement, and a generous and ambitious academic culture. A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who has been part of the journey so far

Professor Lise Rakner and professor Regine Paul received the award alongside the students Johan Thanh Binh Nguyen and Anne Marthe Borgen
