Election of Dean
In the spring of 2025, there will be an election for the dean at the faculty.
A dean and a vice-dean will be elected for the period 01.08.2025-31.07.2029.
Eligible candidates for dean and vice-dean are all permanent employees in teaching and research positions, as well as institute heads appointed for a fixed term.
Election form, method, and period
The election will be held as a majority vote. If more than two proposals for dean and vice-dean are received, the election will be held as a preferential vote. Votes will be counted separately for the following two groups and weighted as follows: 1. Employees 75%, 2. Students 25%.
The election will be held electronically, unless only one person is proposed for the position of dean or vice-dean. In that case, the outgoing faculty board will conduct the election as the electoral assembly.
Election period for electronic voting: dates will be announced in January 2025.
In the election, votes will be cast for both proposed candidates (dean and vice-dean) together.
