Departments and centres
The Faculty of Psychology includes five departments and three centres.
Department of Psychosocial Science
The academic activities at the department are extensive and related to teaching and research within a wide range of relevant topics, such as addiction, bullying and migration.
Department of Health Promotion and Development
The Department is interdisciplinary and includes the disciplines health promotion, child welfare and global development.
Department of Education
The department conducts research within the fields of pedagogy and education, and the study programmes include teacher education, pedagogy, special education, and university pedagogy (staff development).
Department of Biological and Medical Psychology
The academic activities are wide ranging and of a high international standard, involved in research and teaching in biological psychology, cognitive neuroscience, neuropsychology, logopedics and special education.
Centre for Crisis Psychology
Centre for Crisis Psychology is a national centre focusing on research and education within serious somatic illness, emergency preparedness, bereavement, and trauma.
SLATE: Centre for the Science of Learning & Technology
SLATE is the Norwegian national centre for learning analytics.
