Kundan Kumar

Kundan Kumar joined recently as an Associate Professor (Førsteamanuensis) in the Mathematics Institute. He finished his PhD degree in Applied Mathematics in 2012 from the Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands. Subsequent to that he did his postdoc at the Oden Institute, The University of Texas at Austin. Since 2014, he was on a four year fixed position with the Mathematics Institute at Bergen. He joined as a Senior Lecturer at the Karlstad University, Sweden in 2018 September. Since February 2020, he returned back to the University of Bergen as an Associate Professor (tenured). His research interests are in the upscaling and numerical methods for coupled problems with applications in porous media.
