Archiving and open access to research articles - instruction
UiB supports the government's goal that all publicly funded Norwegian research articles should be made openly available. Open access must be ensured by publishing open access and/or making articles available in open access repositories.
Main content
To follow up the national guidelines for open access to research articles, as well as guidelines from the Research Council and the EU, the following requirements are made to:
Researchers
- The project code to all research publications that are connected to projects funded by the Research Council, EU or other funders that require open access, must be registered in Cristin. Please see this tutorial on how to register project codes in Cristin.
- Researchers must ensure that a peer reviewed full-text version of all research articles is uploaded in Cristin. The author's accepted manuscript must be uploaded, unless the author has made sure that the publisher permits the published version of the article to be made openly available. Please see this tutorial on how to uploade articles in Cristin.
