What is a school exam - at home?

School exams - at home is the way we hold school exams this autumn due to the corona situation. Some things are the same as a regular school exam, and some things are different. The exam will be on the same day and at the same time as it says in the exam schedule.

How do I complete a school exam - at home?

As the name suggests, this is an exam you take from home, or another place where you can sit undisturbed. Unfortunately, we do not have the opportunity to make any of our premises available for exams.

The system we use is Inspera Assessment. You write the assignment directly in the system, and we recommend that you familiarize yourself with this. During the school exam - at home we do not use Safe Exam Browser (SEB) / secure browser.

UiB have made a demotest for exams at home without SEB. You can find this in Inspera Assessment.

Can I use aids?

You can use all aids on the school exam - at home. Since we do not use a secure browser (SEB) on these exams, you will have full access to all files on your computer and pages on the Internet. This means that your computer is not locked during the exam.

Use of sources and plagiarism control

All our exams are sent to plagiarism control, including school exams - at home. You can read more about plagiarism on UiB's pages about the use of sources. Information regarding the use of sources on your specific exam will be found on the course page on My UiB.
