Admission to the PhD programme at the Faculty of Psychology
Admission requirements are based on the University of Bergen’s rules and additional guidelines for the Faculty of Psychology.

All applicants must contact the relevant department and research group as early as possible in the process to draw up their project description and to clarify who might be relevant supervisor(s). Your application for admission to the PhD programme is sent by filling out the application form found below. Please note that the application form with attachments will be sent directly to the department you will be affiliated with. The department will evaluate the application in accordance with the admission requirements at the Faculty.
The final decision on admission is made by the faculty's Research and Researcher Training Committee (FFU).
Only candidates with external funding need apply to the PhD programme. Please note that adequate financing must be secured before applying. There are no application deadlines for the PhD programme. Applicants to research fellow positions at the Faculty will be evaluated for admission as part of the review of their job application, and do not need to send in a separate application form.
