This study is part of a larger Nordic project on shift work (Working hours, health, well-being and participation in working life (WOW). The main goal is to create working time related solutions especially for women and aging workers, who often have challenging working hours. The project is also linked to the survey of shift work sleep and health SUSSH studien. Two subprojects in WOW are: 1) Measurement of cytokines among nurses working different work shifts and 2) effect of light treatment for adaptation to night work among nurses who work three consecutive nights. The project is registered in clinical trials: NCT 02978053.
