GEO hold a range of commercial and self-designed equipment specialized to equip a variety of geological field studies. These include for example speleology, soft sediment coring, geological mapping, sub surface profiling, seismic, section logging and sampling for exposure dating. Terrestrial field work at GEO are mainly connected to the research groups Quaternary Earth Systems and Basin and Reservoir Studies.
