Regulations and guidelines
The PhD degree is governed by a number of rules, regulations and guidelines.
The following regulations are approved by the Faculty of Medicine, University of Bergen and apply to all candidates who are affiliated with one of the faculty's departments.
The most important document is the Regulations for the Philosophiae Doctor (PhD) degree at the University of Bergen, adopted in November 2022 by the University Board.

Guidelines for the use of running costs (driftsmidler) for UiB research fellows and students in the Medical Student Research Programme
These guidelines apply to running costs (driftsmidler) allocated each year by the Faculty of Medicine. Running costs are granted for fellowship positions funded by the Faculty of Medicine, as well as students in the Medical Student Research Programme
